OILSTONES
Oilstones are the core of what we produce. They are used to restore and maintain cutting edges, and to finish bores and flat surfaces to a controlled tolerance. We make them in silicon carbide, in white fused alumina and in other materials, in rectangular bars as well as in non-standard profiles cut to a drawing.
Typical grit selection runs from 120# where material has to come off quickly, up to 8000# for the final polishing passes, and other grits can be produced to order. Dimensions are normally held to ±0.5 mm.
WHETSTONES
Whetstones cover the hand-sharpening side of the range: single-sided stones for a single grit, and double-sided stones that pair a coarse face with a fine one so a blade can be brought back and then finished on the same block.
These are produced for cutlery, garden and agricultural tools, and workshop use, in household sizes as well as larger commercial formats.
WHITE FUSED ALUMINA
White fused alumina gives a white-bodied stone with high hardness and a notably even cut. It is the material we recommend when surface finish matters more than stock removal — precision edge work, fine lapping and the last stages of polishing.
As with the rest of the range, grit and dimensions are produced to order.
GRINDING WHEELS
Grinding wheels are part of our product range as well, alongside oilstones and whetstones, for general grinding work.
