Whetstones & Sharpening Stones

A whetstone is the everyday sharpening stone — the block a cook, a gardener or a workshop hand reaches for when an edge has gone dull. Unlike a honing stone used in precision work, a whetstone is judged on how quickly it brings an edge back and how long it lasts before it dishes out of flat.

We produce whetstones in household sizes for retail and in larger commercial formats for professional use. The abrasive body is the same family of material we use across our range, pressed and sintered to hold a consistent hardness.

Single-sided whetstones — one working face in a single grit, for users who want a straightforward stone for maintenance sharpening.

Double-sided whetstones — a coarse face on one side and a fine face on the other, so a dull edge can be re-established and then finished without changing stones. This is the format most of our wholesale customers order.

Multi-grit combinations — stones paired or packaged in sets to cover a sharpening progression.

Most of the whetstones we ship go to wholesalers, importers and retail brands rather than to end users. That shapes how we work: we are used to producing to a named specification, packing to a retail requirement, and keeping the same stone consistent across repeat orders.
